YOU CAN'T DRAW

Once I had an idea to do an exhibition, but I quickly killed it with the thought: "that's nonsense, I can't draw". Then suddenly another thought came to help me - "so what that I can't?". "You can't draw" became the name of the show, and a middle finger to my negative thought. I knew two things - self-destructive thoughts that I deal with everyday are harmful, and that I am not alone. I decided to laugh about it. The exhibition turned into a theatre show about fear, procrastination and inner paranoia. I received a Young Artist Grant from the local government for this project.

TU NEMOKI PIEŠTI

Kartą kilo mintis surengti parodą, bet greit ją nuvijau. „Tu gi piešt nemoki“, – pasakiau sau. Tokie saviplakos ir saviengimo dialogai su savimi vyksta ganėtinai dažnai, tačiau aš žinau du dalykus – tai yra žalinga ir aš tokia esu ne viena. Taigi nutariau iš to pasijuokti. „Tu nemoki piešti“ tapo parodos pavadinimu, kuri netrukus išaugo į komišką spektaklį apie saviplaką, atidėliojimą ir įvairias dėl to kylančias baimes. Šiam projektui įgyvendinti man buvo skirta Šiaulių jaunojo menininko stipendija. Spektaklis įvyko tik vieną kartą, nes beprotiškai bijojau antrojo. Iš savo pačios spektaklio visgi nepasimokiau.
